Midnight Musings 8/6/2019

Dust

They say dust is 90 percent skin cells; but in my thinking, it doesn’t seem logical since dust collects in places where people don’t go. It seems more logical that we build structures with dead material and they disintegrate around us day by day.

Air Conditioning

Given that our healthy body temperature is around 98.6 degrees Fahrenheit, wouldn’t it be normal to want to live in temperatures close to normal body temperature? Why do people feel comfortable 20-35 degrees below the temperature of their body?

My comfort zone is 80-90. Welcome to Texas!

Christ’s GLORIOUS Prayer for YOU, His Re-Birthed Sibling

Now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was. (John 17:5)

The glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one;…I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them. (v. 22-23, 26)

Oh!! What that must have been like!!

The glory of God as He glorified Christ with thine own self, before the world was. It seems Christ was longing for that again while He walked the earth.

This is what stands out to me at the opening portion of Christ's Prayer to His Father. Even more so when He works back around to it at the end of His prayer, praying to share that glory with US!!! No sibling rivalry here.

Read those verses again, and bask in that idea.

The Son of God worked to fulfill the Father's desire; He gave His siblings (born-again believers) that wondrous glory of His Father's which He treasured from before creation. He prayed for the completion of God's plan from the beginning: Our perfection as we are brought into the union He has with the Father.

I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one, that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them.

Regardless of how you see yourself, regardless of the status of your earthly existence, your level of spiritual understanding, or the maturity of your soul, if you are a born-again child of God, THIS is your ETERNAL CONDITION, your SPIRITUAL POSITION:  The person of Christ, the Son of God, lives in you; over 100 verses say so. Christ never leaves you. He'll never forsake you. His yoke is easy, and His burden light. He's with you through everything. He'll get you through anything.

And the Holy Spirit (Comforter, Spirit of Truth, Teacher) is there to teach you of Christ in you, working toward the goal of maturing you to the full statute of Christ.

“If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.” (Gal. 5:25)

Walk in His Spirit, and come back once in a while to remember thisyour eternal, spiritual reality is in Christ as God's child.

Keep yourself centered by knowing this:

Your life is in Christ. He's your wisdom, your strength, your righteousness, your sanctification, justification, and redemption. You are hid in Him and any enemy has to go through Him to touch you, so the battle is won and we already know how it ends. So stop worrying. You are safe and secure, In Christ.
